Bangladesh struggled against India in both the first and second T20I matches. In the first game, they only managed to score 127 runs while batting first, as their batters faced difficulties. The situation didn’t improve much in the second match. Although their bowlers made an early impact by reducing India to 41 for 3, they couldn't maintain the pressure, leading to another defeat.
Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh formed a strong partnership, adding 108 runs for the fourth wicket. This helped India reach a total of 221 runs. Bangladesh struggled to take advantage of the batting-friendly conditions in Delhi and lost by 86 runs. Taskin Ahmed, a Bangladesh fast bowler, said the team needs better pitches at home to improve their skills.
Taskin Points Out the Need for Better Home Pitches and Improved Batting Performance
Taskin mentioned that while the team needs to improve their skills, playing on better pitches at home is also important. He explained that these factors were key reasons for their losses. Taskin shared that they had informed the cricket board, and the board promised to improve the pitches back home, but it's up to them to make the necessary changes.
In both T20Is, Bangladesh's batting struggled. In the first match, except for Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, no other batter scored more than 15 runs. In the second match, the batters got starts but couldn't turn them into big scores. Taskin pointed out the team's batting issues and expressed disappointment that they didn't play up to their full potential.
